Photos From President Jonathan And Wife’s Visit To Pope Francis

President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, First Lady Dame Patience and his entourage on Saturday arrived Vatican City for a meeting with Pope Francis and Monsignor Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State.

The President will leave Italy for the Netherlands after conferring with the Pope and he is scheduled to lead a high-powered Nigerian delegation to talks on Sunday with the Dutch Prime Minister, Mr. Mark Rutte and senior officials of the Dutch Government before the opening of the Nuclear Security Summit on Monday 24^th.

Over Top 50 Artiste in Lagos Countdown 2013

Activities marking this year’s Lagos countdown took off effectively last Sunday with a commanding performance  by Terry G (afro hip pop act) at the bar beach, venue of the Lagos countdown.

As at the last count, over fifty artistes have been confirmed to perform at this year’s countdown. Some of them include Tu-Face Idibia, Davido, Omawunmi, Iyanya, Wande Coal, Timaya, J-Martins, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Iceprince,to mention but a few. Continue...

The Lagos countdown which started on Sunday 8th December will  run for the next 23 days with series of activities including Karaoke night, Outdoor Cinema, Unveiling of the  Oniru statues, Festival of Light, Kids play Arena and will climax with  spectacular fireworks on the night of the 31^st December 2013, as we cross over into  the New Year.

Some artiste who spoke on their expectations of the event expressed readiness to give Lagosians and tourist in attendance something to remember.First to speak was Kcee of the Limpopo fame;  “my fans are in for very good time and  it promises to be exciting night”. Also to speak was 2face Idibia, he urged all Lagosians to get ready for another level of fun as he will raise the bar at the biggest New Year eve party in Africa come 31^st of December.

As the Lagos countdown welcomes visitors and fun lovers to see the elegance and loads of fun awaiting them, organizers have promised visitors a lovely time. Some of the goodies at hand include free Wi-Fi for internet access as provided by ICSL limited. Also available to be won is a new 2013 Hyundai Veloster to be donated by Stallion Motors, teenage pavilion, Games section for kids, fast food court,, bars and shopping areas.Arrangements have been completed to transport fun lovers for freewith a bus ride at different locations to the venue of the Countdown.

Twin Sisters Marry Twins Brothers On The Same Day (PHOTOS)

Its not everyday we get to see a set of twins get married to another set of twins.

Twin brothers Chinonso Akinade Okueze and Chibuzor Adelakin Okueze from Asaba Delta State married twin sisters, Folawemi Taiwo Okuniyi and Febisola Kehinde Okuniyi from Ondo state on 30th Nov at Foursquare Gospel Church Omole, Ikeja, Lagos state.

There was report that during the church wedding, officials of the Guinness Book of World Records acknowledged that they have never had any record or history of twins’ marriage in Africa.
Contrary to what people were thinking was an ‘arranged’ marriage project, one of the grooms, Chinonso, said it wasn’t planned that way.
Chinonso told E24-7  “When I saw Fola, I was struck. Unlike what many think that ‘Kehindes’ are always faster, I was sharper than him. I started dating Fola first, but one day, I noticed that he was going out, but he didn’t tell me where he was going. That was so strange so I decided to find out where he was going, and I realised he was visiting the Okunniyis. He later told me he likes Febi, and I told him it was okay that he should stick to her, because I already had my eyes on Fola.”

Chibuzor also re-iterated his twin brother’s claim that the joint wedding wasn’t initially planned. According to him, “We thank God and give Him all the glory. I pray that this ‘friendship’ that has started today will last for a very long time,” he enthused. “This is awesome. It’s great being brothers and brothers-in law to each other at the same time, and vice-versa.”

Gospel Artistes Eben And Jahdiel Get Married

Popular gospel artistes, Eben and Jahdiel had their traditional wedding yesterday.

They will walk down the aisle on November, 30, 2013.
The wedding will be taking place at D.G.M, Plot 4, Off Road 16, Ikota Villa Estate, Lekki Ajah Expressway. Reception follows at The Manor Event Centre, Admiral Ayinla Way, Lekki Phase 1, 3rd Round about, Opposite Treasure Garden Estate, Lagos.
Grace Okoduwa (Jahdiel) is most known for her massive hit ‘Heritage’.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Benjamin (Eben), gospel rock artiste has  captivated music lovers with is Afrocentric Rock style after releasing his debut album ‘On The Rock’ in November, 2006 with hit singles ‘Imaranma’ and ‘God dey’.

Iyanya Bounced at Davido’s Exclusive 21st Birthday Party

Reports and multiple sources have confirmed that Iyanya was refused entry to Davido’s 21st birthday party. As Terry G, Tonto Dikeh, B-Red, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Shank, Vixen, Shizzi, Danagog, Patoranking, DJ Caise, DJ Spinall, Ill Rhymz and Sasha P were partying like there is no tomorrow, Iyanya was busy dealing with security at the gate of the venue. The juicy report below:

“That question has left many tongues wagging. Iyanya was bounced at Davido’s 21st birthday party which held at Pavada Lounge Thursday night.

 

Witnesses said, most people who weren’t invited where not allowed to get in, and if you must, you must call one of the HKN group members, who will come out and take you in.

 

Most people who felt they should be in, called Kamal, a member of Davido’s group who was always in and out taking guests in. 

 

But when Iyanya got to the entrance, the bouncers said he couldn’t get it.People around told them it was Iyanya, but the bouncers still refused and said if he must get in, he should call Davido or Kamal.

 

Iyanya tried making a call, but no one picked, he got angry nodding his head as he left. A lot of people didn’t understand what was going on and it soon became a hot topic among guests at the party. Now, this is an inside gist and it’s so true.”
